HOMEFLOW SOLUTIONS – RETURN & REFUND POLICY

1. INTRODUCTION
This Return & Refund Policy applies to all purchases made from HomeFlow Solutions (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy is governed by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“CPA”) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (“ECT Act”).

Nothing in this policy limits or overrides any rights afforded to consumers under applicable South African law.


2. NO GENERAL RIGHT OF RETURN (CHANGE OF MIND)
Customers do not have an automatic right to return goods due to a change of mind. ()

HomeFlow Solutions may, at its sole discretion, accept returns for change-of-mind purchases subject to:

  • Request within 7 days of delivery

  • Product unused, undamaged, and in original packaging

  • All accessories, manuals, and components included

If approved:

  • A handling/restocking fee (up to 15%) may apply

  • Customer bears return shipping costs


3. DEFECTIVE, FAULTY OR UNSAFE PRODUCTS (CPA SECTION 55 & 56)
All products carry a 6-month implied warranty of quality under the CPA. ()

If a product is defective, unsafe, or not of good quality, the customer may:

  • Return the product within 6 months of delivery

  • Choose between:

    • Repair

    • Replacement

    • Refund

HomeFlow Solutions reserves the right to:

  • Inspect and test the product before approving a claim

  • Reject claims where damage is due to misuse, negligence, or unauthorized modifications

If repaired and the same issue recurs within 3 months, the customer may request replacement or refund.


4. INCORRECT, DAMAGED OR MISREPRESENTED GOODS
Customers must notify us within 48 hours of delivery if:

  • Incorrect items were delivered

  • Goods are damaged on arrival

  • Goods do not match description

We will:

  • Arrange collection at our cost

  • Provide replacement or full refund


5. GOODS UNSUITABLE FOR A SPECIFIC PURPOSE
If a customer relied on our advice that a product would meet a specific purpose and it does not:

  • The product may be returned within 10 business days ()


6. DIRECT MARKETING & ONLINE SALES (COOLING-OFF PERIOD)
For online or direct marketing purchases:

  • Customers may cancel within 7 days of delivery (ECT Act)

  • Goods must be returned at the customer’s expense

  • A full refund will be issued once goods are received


7. CONDITIONS FOR RETURNS
Returns will only be accepted if:

  • Proof of purchase is provided

  • Product is returned in original condition (unless defective)

  • All accessories and packaging are included

Returns may be rejected if:

  • Product has been used improperly

  • Product is physically damaged after delivery

  • Product has been altered or tampered with


8. NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
The following may not be returned unless defective:

  • Opened or used electrical components (for safety reasons)

  • Custom-configured or special-order products

  • Clearance or marked “final sale” items


9. REFUND PROCESSING

  • Refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days after inspection

  • Refunds will be made using the original payment method where possible

  • We may withhold refunds until goods are received and inspected


10. SHIPPING COSTS

  • Defective/incorrect goods: We cover return shipping

  • Change-of-mind or cooling-off returns: Customer pays return shipping


11. LIABILITY LIMITATION
To the extent permitted by law:

  • HomeFlow Solutions is not liable for indirect or consequential damages

  • Liability is limited to the purchase price of the product
